Holston Electric Cooperative has had a leadership role in the economic development efforts of Hawkins County and the East Tennessee region for many years. Staff members work closely with our economic development partners to insure that new industrial and commercial prospects and current customers receive the information and assistance they need in a timely manner. We are focused on helping to bring new companies and the jobs they create to our communities as well as maintaining close relationships with existing customers long after the location process is completed.

Holston EC has a unique blend of customers for a rural electric cooperative. More than fifty percent of the customer base is industrial and commercial and about forty-six percent is residential. Because of this diverse sales mix between large industrial, commercial and residential customers we have been able to maintain an attractive equity ratio.
